Plastic Inserts & Ferrules 

Plastic inserts and ferrules are protective and finishing components fitted into the open ends of tubes, frames, and chair legs. They prevent floor scratching, protect tube ends from damage, and give furniture and equipment a clean, finished appearance.

We stock plastic inserts and ferrules to fit round, square, and rectangular tubing across a wide range of sizes, from small chair-leg ferrules through to large industrial tube inserts. Standard metric and imperial sizes are typically available from stock.

A ferrule slides over the outside of the tube end, gripping it externally. An insert pushes into the inside of the tube. Inserts give a cleaner finish flush with the tube, while ferrules can also act as wear protection on the outside surface.
